Cindy Bloom massage therapist Cindy Bloom

I am a licensed massage therapist with more than 20 years’ experience. I have advanced training in CranioSacral Therapy, SomatoEmotional Release and myofascial release.

I love to learn and continue to study BioEnergy, the brain and nervous system, and a variety of manual therapy techniques, taking several training sessions each year. I’m trained in the Rubenfeld Synergy Method and have taken and assisted with classes at the Upledger Institute.

I combine a grounded and logical viewpoint (I was a computer programmer earlier in my career) with a sensitive intuition. This allows me a unique view into your body and the ability to customize each massage session to your needs.

My touch ranges from gentle unwinding, indirectly releasing deep structures in the body, to direct lengthening of tissues through pressure point massage and manual lengthening.

I have a bachelor’s degree in recreation therapy from Temple University. After graduating, I worked in psychiatric hospitals in a recreation therapist, but became disillusioned by the quality of care offered to patients.

These early experiences help me have compassionate insight into how our past experiences and lifestyle choices affect the quality of our life. In addition, the problem solving skills I honed have proven invaluable when evaluating the functioning of the human body.

I believe our bodies know what they need and are able to heal from within. I’ll encourage you to be yourself, focus on your strengths and use them to your advantage.

Bodywork with me can help headaches and migraines, chronic neck and back pain, stress and tension related disorders, scoliosis, brain and spinal cord injuries, TMJ and other orthopedic problems. I works with people of all ages: from newborns who are having difficulty with nursing or colic, to elderly who are readying themselves to transition into spirit.

Throughout my life, I’ve been committed to personal growth. My journey professionally and personally gives me a unique understanding of the relatedness of your body, emotions and health. I use all of my skills and a commitment to be present to help you overcome pain, find emotional balance and gain vitality.
